Weight Loss Surgery Helps Bardstown Woman Regain Life
Since her Dec. 12 bariatric surgery with Dr. Rob Farrell at Flaget Center for Weight Loss Surgery, Smith has lost 70 pounds. She exercises for more than an hour three times a week. She can walk her grandchildren's dog for blocks without getting winded. For the first time in years, she has bought a pair of jeans. "This is a life-changing surgery," the Bardstown woman said. "When I went to my primary care doctor for a check-up recently, she took me off one of my blood pressure pills and one of my diabetes pills. I'm hoping one day to get off all my medicines."
