Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown, KY
Heidi Wilhelm Named New Director of Development for Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation in Bardstown

It is an honor to announce that Heidi Wilhelm has been named the new Director of Development for Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation in Bardstown effective May 15, 2012.

Heidi has 12 years experience in healthcare development that includes major gifts, capital campaigns, annual giving, strategic planning, grants, and volunteer and event management.  Her most recent position has been The Grant Development Specialist at Catholic Health Initiatives in Denver, Colorado; Heidi will be an excellent addition to Flaget Memorial Hospital’s Foundation, its mission and the core values of the Hospital.  She is taking over from Bobbi Harned who was recently named Director of the Flaget Cancer Center.

Foundation Board Chair, Bill Conway, said, “We are delighted to have Heidi making the move to Bardstown and using her experience to further the important work of the Foundation.  In our short tenure, the Foundation has grown and helped the Hospital on numerous initiatives raising much needed funds annually to support the mission and outreach including Hospice of Nelson County, the Flaget Cancer Center and the Nelson County Community Clinic.

We have a great board and have been blessed with strong leadership from our members and feel that Heidi will be a great fit for us.  We know the Bardstown community will give her a warm welcome as she relocates here and makes Kentucky her new home.”

President of the Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation, Barry A. Stumbo added, “Bobbi Harned and Di Boyer have both been fantastic leaders for the FMHF and we will all help aid in a smooth transition for the Flaget Foundation and the Board.  Because Heidi is very familiar with Flaget Memorial Hospital, the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation staff and KentuckyOne Health, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role.  Heidi played a significant part in the grant funding received from the Louisville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen and has visited Bardstown on several occasions.  So many great things are happening at Flaget and her leadership and experience will continue our momentum and culture of philanthropy in Bardstown.”

Heidi is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Business Administration and has numerous certifications and advanced training in healthcare philanthropy.
