Welcome to Saint Joseph - Martin

11203 Main Street • Martin, KY 41649 • 606.285.6400

Saint Joseph - Martin (SJM), formerly known as Our Lady of the Way Hospital, may be small in size compared to some of today's newest hospitals, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in tradition and care. Our 25-bed critical care access facility in Floyd County, Kentucky, provides patients with holistic, personalized care.

Visitor Limitation to Hospital Patients

During this flu season (which includes the new H1N1 strain of influenza), we are asking our visitors to comply with the following policy in order to protect the safety of our patients and employees.

  • If you are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms, please do not visit a patient or enter the hospital until you are symptom free.  Similarly, please do not visit a patient who has flu-like symptoms until they are symptom free.
  • Children and young adults are highly susceptible to the H1N1 virus. Therefore, we ask that children under the age of 18 do not enter the hospital.  We will lift this restriction when it is determined that the threat of the spread of H1N1 has decreased significantly.
  • An exception to the above restrictions includes a visitor who is critical to the patient's emotional well being and healing process.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please check our website often for any changes to this temporary policy. If you have any questions, you may also talk with a staff member at our hospital.

In March 2008, Saint Joseph - Martin received the Top Performer for Pneumonia Care - Core Measure award at Catholic Health Initiatives' Quality and Risk Management Conference.
