Oncotype DX

A relatively new test used to determine which particular chemotherapy is best for an individual patient. It is performed on estrogen receptor positive tumors which have not spread to the lymph nodes. It evaluates 21 genes which affect aggressiveness of cancer.

This test can be performed only after final surgery when pathology evaluation of the tumor is completed.
