Psychological Needs

Pre-operative Assessment

As part of our bariatric program, all patients will undergo psychological assessment and testing prior to weight loss surgery. Our psychologist will meet with you in our private office setting to determine your understanding and expectations of weight loss surgery.

It is important to identity any mental health needs that a patient has so that we may help to support you through the surgical process and recovery. Any requirement for additional counseling or support will be recommended through open discussion.

Post-operative Support

Our psychologist is also available to meet with patients after surgery. We believe that it is important to provide continued support for our patients both physically and emotionally.
