Run for the Health of It

Flaget Memorial Hospital is a sponsor of the upcoming Run for the Health of It, a 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Nelson County Community Clinic. Flaget Memorial Hospital supports the Nelson County Community Clinic, providing financial assistance, supplies and advanced diagnostic tests. The clinic’s mission is to provide free medical, pharmaceutical and dental services to people who are working but are uninsured and underinsured.

The 5K Run/Walk will be held in Bardstown on Saturday, June 20 at 8 a.m.; the race will start and finish at City Hall, where there will be exhibitors, awards and giveaways. All proceeds from Run for the Health of It will benefit the Nelson County Community Clinic.

Flaget Memorial Hospital, a 52-bed facility is the only hospital in the Nelson County (Bardstown) area and treats those from Washington, Spencer, Bullitt and LaRue counties in addition to Nelson County. The hospital opened a new award-winning facility in 2005 and became part of Saint Joseph Health System in early 2008. Services offered include Flaget Birth Center, oncology services, Pain Management Center, pulmonary rehabilitation, surgical services, Sleep Disorders Center and Flaget Wound Center.
