Bardstown, KY (August 20, 2013)—Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host the second annual Flaget Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 4305 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown.
The event is currently seeking additional health-related vendors, as well as support from sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a number of levels starting at $250.
The event is sponsored by Medica Pharmacy and Wellness Center, Bardstown Eye Care Center, Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation, WBRT AM/FM and Jerry and Linda Bruckheimer.
“We’re pleased to be able to bring this event back to the residents of Bardstown free of charge, thanks in part to the generosity of our partners,” said Sue Downs, president of Flaget Memorial Hospital. “Events like this help us provide tools to our community members to help them to be informed and empowered about their health.”
The event will offer free and low-cost medical screenings, as well as health information and education from community health providers. Physicians, specialists, nurses and nurse practitioners, dieticians, diabetes educators, dentists, optometrists, chiropractic specialists, and other health professionals will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions about health and to educate on programs available in the area.
A farmer’s market, Kidz Zone play area and other family-friendly activities will also take place at the event.
