Heart of Saint Joseph Award
Through its Heart of Saint Joseph Award, the hospital may recognize monthly an Employee for outstanding performance in exemplifying one or more of the four core values (Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence) on which the hospital's philosophy is based. Any Employee can nominate another Employee for this possible recognition. One Employee may be selected for each campus. The selected Employees will receive the Heart of Saint Joseph Award certificate, cash reward, preferred parking spot for one month, and their photograph displayed in the lobby, and "Heart of Saint Joseph" insignia placed on the name badge. Saint Joseph values the contributions of all Employees. It is important to provide recognition for Employees who retire from Saint Joseph. To honor any Employee who retires after having completed 10 or more years of service, the hospital offers a farewell reception. Refreshments will be provided for a hospital-wide reception. Guests may include department colleagues, family members, directors and executive team members. The retiree receives a retirement plaque and a mail order gift booklet from the hospital of a type used for service awards and of a value equal to the Employee's closest five (5) year increment of service.
Associate Service Awards
Saint Joseph values tenured Employees who have dedicated their valuable time and displayed loyalty to the organization through years of continuous service. A variety of gifts and recognition celebrations are offered to Employees who are recognized for every five (5) years of service with the organization.
- Upon completion of five (5) years of service, and every 5 years thereafter, Employees will receive a mail order gift packet and have the opportunity to select any gift offered.
- Saint Joseph offers a luncheon for Employees who have completed five (5) years of service. Saint Joseph Executives will host the Service Award Luncheon. In addition, fellow tenured Employees and their respective department Directors and Managers will join these Associates.
Employees who perform above and beyond job requirements can be nominated to receive a Love Award. The Employees should be a Loyal, Outstanding, Valuable E mployee. Anyone can nominate an Employee for a Love Award, including peers, supervisors, patients, volunteers, visitors, physicians, etc. To nominate an Employee, fill-out a nomination form at a nomination box or your department's bulletin board. A Love Award pin will be given to the Associate after receiving five (5) approved nominations. Nominations can be "traded-in" for gifts after 10, 15, 20, etc. approved nominations.
