Who do we support?
The Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Foundation's mission is accomplished through funding current programs and services. The Foundation raises and manages these funds through a variety of sources, including an annual campaign, gifts to the Founder's Society, estate gifts, and of course, the Employee Campaign. Please take a moment and read the below descriptions of the current programs:
Employee/United Way Campaign - Each year, the Foundation, along with the United Way of the Bluegrass, asks employees to put their dollars to good use. The campaign encourages the Saint Joseph family to contribute to various programs that serve the community and promote the mission and values of Saint Joseph.
Nursing Scholarship Program - This program provides one and two-year scholarships to deserving nursing students at area colleges and universities.
Patient and Family Assistance Fund - This program helps with lodging, medications, taxi vouchers, meal tickets, and other needs to patients or their families who require assistance during their extended hospital stay.
Employee Emergency Financial Assistance Fund - This program, administered by a committee, makes cash grants or interest free loans to Saint Joseph Associates with extraordinary, short-term needs, like mortgage or rent payments. Saint Joseph matches your gift to this program.
